The identity of Z33 was formed by Fracesca Torzo by a succession of majestic rooms of different architectural proportions. The public central zone too, which is the subject of this project, is formed by three generous rooms of different heights. We see a potential in the existing stairwell of the older wing to include it as a fourth room in the public zone. This way, a circular corridor is generated by creating an additional opening between the diner and the existing stairwell. Alongside Torzo's linear views, we are betting on diagonal views. A function is positioned at the end point of each diagonal view axis. This strategy ensures that the visitor will be guided further and further through the public reception area. The lines of sight and interventions thus literally embody the power of imagination of Z33 and turn the reception area into an open and welcoming meeting spot. A identifiable language is developed for the furniture: large, monolithic shapes with bevelled edges stand like small houses in the large rooms.
